Questions people actually ask

Which product should I pick?

Pick Hospicash if a hospital stay is the risk most likely to interrupt your rent. Pick Job Loss if losing your income is. Pick Super Saver Combo if you want both, plus everyday healthcare access — it is the only product that includes Wellness.

Can I buy Hospicash and Job Loss separately?

Yes. Both are sold on their own at ₹1,180 a year each. Bought together they come to ₹2,360, so Super Saver Combo is ₹380 less and adds Wellness on top. For our first 100 customers every plan is ₹100 off: ₹1,080 for Hospicash or Job Loss, and ₹1,880 for Super Saver Combo.

What counts as job loss?

Involuntary termination — layoffs from restructuring, downsizing, or the company shutting down. You must have been in continuous permanent full-time employment for at least 6 months, at a registered Indian company with 100 or more employees. Resigning, voluntary retirement schemes, probation non-confirmation and dismissal for misconduct are not covered.

When can I claim?

After the period for that cover has passed — a 30-day cooling period for Hospicash, waived for accidental hospitalisation, and 60 days for Job Loss from policy inception. In Super Saver Combo each cover keeps its own waiting period. Claims raised inside those windows aren't payable, so it's worth starting cover before you need it.

Is Wellness a separate product?

No. Wellness is included inside Super Saver Combo and is not sold on its own.

Who pays out — and to whom?

Hospicash is underwritten by Zuno General Insurance Limited; Job Loss by ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. Super Saver Combo carries both covers, so it carries both underwriters. The rent payout can go directly to your landlord or into your account, whichever you choose when you claim. Full terms and exclusions are set out in the policy schedule you receive by email.

Does my landlord benefit too?

Loss of rental income is covered under the same master policy — the rent keeps coming even if a tenant loses their job. No chasing, no part payments, no deciding between a good tenant and a paid month.

What do I have to do to stay eligible?

Pay your rent through the RentenPe app against a registered rent agreement. If you miss app rent payments for two or more months in any rolling three-month period, the cover lapses for that period.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Monthly cover can be stopped before the next renewal date with no exit fee. Annual combo plans follow the free-look and cancellation terms in your policy schedule.

Does this affect my credit score?

Buying cover doesn't. Paying rent through RentenPe builds a separate rental credit record reported to Experian, which is designed to help your profile, not hurt it.
